  SPECIAL RULES 1 ASSERTIVE SENTENCE -   If the sentence inside double inverted comma represent assertive sentence we will change it into indirect speech as follows. RULES TO CHANGE Ø   Change reporting verb say to, says to, said to into tell, tells, told.  The literal meaning of narration is-t o say/to state . And the synonyms of narration is  assertion/statement  and declaration. Narration are two types 1.DIRECT SPEECH 2.INDIRECT SPEECH 1 . DIRECT SPEECH - when a person narrate the words of speaker in the same as speaker said without any change. we should always keep speaker statement in double inverted commas(" "). Example- Mona said,  "I am busy". 2.
